A flying visit to South Glamorgan
Yesterday we made a flying visit to South Glamorgan to visit GG in his new residential home. Shortly before Christmas he finally reached a point where he could no longer live alone. 99 is not a bad age to have managed to with independent living but I think it has been an adjustment for us all to think of him in a home. Fortunately the home, particularly the staff, are very lovely and he is content. His memory is not as good as it once was so visits can be quite brief. So it's quite a long way to go for a 45 minute visit! It helps that he is in a beautiful part of the world so we can combine visits with trips to the sea, this time to Nash Point which was as spectacular as ever. I suspect we will do much of visits on trips to and from Pembrokeshire in future. We are all looking forward to going down on the 4th of March when he hits 100.
